This is my nephew Trent. This morning Trent is having reconstructive surgery to his diaphragm.He was born with a diaphragmatic hernia which is a defect or hole in the diaphragm that allows the abdominal contents to move into the chest cavity. Treatment is usually surgical. Trent had 4 surgeries the first year of his life, and now needs this surgery because some repair work needs to be done.
The surgery is expected to last 3-4 hours & then Trent will be in the hospital 3-4 days.
Pray for wisdom for Dr. Buchi(Trent's surgeon) and peace and comfort for Trent & his parents.

Praying for him right now. I'm pretty sure he was just a baby when I was in Iowa. What a cute boy!
