Labor Day

We had a great Labor Day with Doug's Dad & Mom (Grandpa & Grandma). We got up at a regular time & left our house early. It was an 1 1/2 hour drive to Grandpa & Grandma's house. The boys were great travelers & just took a little nap, "read" books, and looked out the rear window.

Great grandma was able to join us for lunch. She is going to be 96 soon. My squirmy boys didn't make it easy for her to get many cuddles, but I am so glad that the boys have been able to meet her & spend time with her.

The boys were spoiled & Grandpa allowed them to do many "naughty" things like climb on his car. As always his cane was a favorite of both Benjamin & Joseph.

We all thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful weather, and being outside. Grandpa & Grandma have a beautiful lawn & the boys couldn't get enough of crawling/walking all over it. The water hose was also a special treat for them. Doug spent some time listening to Dad explain some of the intricacies of yard work, and the history of some of their gorgeous trees.

We headed home around the boys' bed time. They slept the entire car ride home and went right to bed when we arrived.
