"Big Boy" Food

To celebrate the boys 5 1/2 month birthday we decided to let them try cereal (of course it was so milked down it was basically milk on a spoon!). They both have been acting interested in food for the last few weeks and Dr. Howard gave the go ahead at their 4 month apointment so we decided it was time!
Our little kitchen area is so small the boy's highchairs take up 1/2 the dinning room area! They have been sitting in the chairs playing for a few days and seem to like being "up" where they can watch Mommy in the kitchen.

I think they knew something "special" was going on because they got really quiet and had BIG eyes.

Joseph ate like a pro. He opened his mouth and swallowed! He couldn't wait to have more.

Ben thought it was a fun game. He opened his mouth and then spit it all out! We kept working on it and he did get maybe 1/2 of what we gave him down.

And guess what?.......Both boys are already trained to clean themselves up! (Ok - I'm stretching the truth a little on that one).
