Yesterday, after children's church, Doug asked Benjamin what he had learned.
Benjamin said, "Boom."
Sure enough...his coloring page was a picture of the walls of Jericho falling down (Joshua 6:1-27).
His coloring still needs some work. {grin}
We are so thankful for those who take time each week to share God's Word with our boys!

Good job listening, Ben!!!!! Thanks for sharing this, Debbi!!!
Thanks for this. It made me smile. It just reinforces how MUCH they learn and that they are learning all the time, every moment, every day. Which in turn reinforces my belief that babies and young children can and SHOULD be taught from God's Word. Do they need to sit in a chair and fold their hands on their lap for a 15 minute Bible lesson? No. Teaching happens in everything we do and say. Yes, this is a passion of mine.
Oh - When I saw "Boom" was his response, I thought sure it was David and Goliath. That was Trent's favorite story. The louder the "boom", the better. Then as he got into 4-5s, Alex finished the story with the gorey details about Goliath's beheading. Which made Trent love the story all the more. It became "Boom-CHOP!"
